Mullis Adds Second Super Series Title With Win

Sim Marketing Solutions Super Series – Super Late Models – Round 11 – January 3, 2019 – Oxford Plains Speedway

The Super Series took on Oxford for their final race, as they wrapped up the 2018 Fall Season with the running of the HidesPride.com 150.

Race Summary – Tim Bills used the invert to start at the front of the field, but he felt the pressure early from behind. Trevor Edwards challenged for a few laps before Jimmy Mullis stepped up to the plate, and after riding on the bumper of Bills for 15 laps, Mullis worked his way under for the lead. After the race’s only caution on lap 65, Mullis jumped back out into the lead and set sail for the rest of the race as he extended the gap out to over 6 seconds during the final 80 laps, and went on to score the dominating victory, his 4th of the season.

Top Five – 2nd Joe Schaffer Jr., 3rd David Krikorian, 4th Ryan Doucette, 5th Ryan Matthews

Pole Winner – Alex McCollum (15.049 seconds)

Hard Charger – Ryan Doucette (+10 positions)

Rookie of the Season – Ryan Doucette finished up his Rookie campaign with his 5th top five of the season, and scored 78 out of a possible 80 points to earn the Rookie of the Season honors.

Champion – Jimmy Mullis wrapped up his title campaign in victory lane with the win, making it 11 podium finishes in 11 starts this season. Congrats to Jimmy Mullis, the 2018 Fall Season Sim Marketing Solutions Super Series champion!

HidesPride Head2Head Throwdown – Row 6 on the grid was selected at random for drivers to compete head-to-head, with David Krikorian (3rd) finishing ahead of Fred Moreau (19th) to win the Throwdown.
