Sim Marketing Solutions Super Series – Super Late Models – Race 6 – June 28, 2018 – Irwindale Speedway

For Round 6 of the season, the Super Series traveled west and took on the Irwindale Speedway for 150 laps.

Race Summary – Early on in the race it was Camaron Hamilton out front in front of the field, but a lap 25 restart would bring Joe Schaffer Jr. and company closer to him for a battle up front. Schaffer would eventually get to the high side to take over the lead, bringing David Krikorian with him, which set up a fight between the two drivers for the rest of the race. DK was able to stay within the tire tracks of Schaffer out front for most of the race, but never quite had enough to make his move. Schaffer would hold on to pick up his first win of the season, and his 46th career victory.

Top Five – 2nd David Krikorian, 3rd Jim Caudill Jr., 4th Tyler Breeding, 5th Ryan Doucette

Points Battle – Joe Schaffer Jr. extended his points lead up to 68 points after his victory.

HidesPride Head2Head Throwdown – Row 7 on the grid was selected at random for drivers to compete head-to-head, with Ryan Doucette (5th) finishing ahead of Michael Goddard (27th) to win the Throwdown.
