Race Winner – After winning for the first time last week, Kyle Souza ended up right back in victory lane, taking the lead on lap 25 and holding on for his 2nd career SARA victory.

Race Summary – After the Pole Handicap, Matt Rolfe started at the front of the field and jumped out to the early lead. Behind him, once Kyle Souza and Colin Allman stopped battling for 2nd, Souza was able to run down Rolfe and made his move to the top spot on lap 25. Souza pulled away during a long run, but after a late restart, Trevor Edwards was able to close the gap and closed in on the leader, but it wasn’t enough as a caution flew and Souza was able to hang on for the victory.

Hard Charger – Jake Watson started back in the 14th position, before gaining 7 spot on the night to finish 7th.

SS Title Fight – Entering the night, two drivers mathematically had a shot at the title, but when 2nd place didn’t attempt to race, Joe Schaffer Jr. would secure the title and ended the night with a 19 point lead to earn the championship. Congrats to Joe Schaffer Jr., the 2017 Fall Season Callaway Investments/Midwest Powersource Sportsman Series champion for the Street Stocks. Schaffer’s season consisted of 1 win, 4 top fives, 6 top tens, and 33 laps led during the 6-race season.

Combined Title Fight – Schaffer remained on top of the overall combined standings as well with a 21 point gap back to 2nd place heading into next week’s race.

Up Next – The Late Model Sportsman division will wrap up the season next week at Lanier with a 100-lap feature event.
