Dirt Night – Midgets – Race 3 – June 25, 2018 – The Dirt Track at Charlotte
Last Monday night for Dirt Night, the Midgets took their turn battling it out in the 40-lap A-Main at Charlotte.
Race Summary – After an invert at the front, Matt Rolfe led the field for the opening 9 laps of the race before Keith Jeffery took over. But just a couple of laps later, the two leaders would get tangled, dropping them both to the back, while Jarrid Boiros took over the lead. Boiros jumped out front and pulled away during the second half of the race before a late caution resulted in the checkered and yellow flags, securing Boiros his 18th career SARA win.
Race Winner – Jarrid Boiros – Started 6th, 26 laps led
Top Five – 2nd Joe Schaffer Jr., 3rd Kenneth Drake, 4th Derek Robinson, 5th Clay Snider
Hard Charger – Derek Robinson (+6 Positions, 10th to 4th)
Heat Winners – Jarrid Boiros & Keith Jeffery
Points Battle – Halfway through the season, the points were tied atop the standings with Clay Snider and David Krikorian each sharing the points lead.
