Brannon Steals Dirt Night Season Opener

Dirt Night – Street Stocks – Round 1 – Sept. 17, 2018 – Dirt Track at Charlotte

The 2018 Fall Season got underway last Monday night with Dirt Night, and 50 drivers would unload their cars at the Dirt Track at Charlotte, attempting to qualify for just 24 spots in the 60-lap A-Main.

Race Summary – Kenneth Drake started out front and led a majority of the race, but also faced multiple charges from Beau Brannon. Brannn led a couple laps during the race but wasn’t able to complete the pass as Drake held on. in the closing laps, the action picked back up and when the pressure was on, Drake slipped up into the outside wall, allowing Brannon to slip by on the bottom to steal the win, picking up his first career SARA win.

Race Winner – Beau Brannon – Started 2nd, 3 laps led

Top Five – 2nd Kenneth Drake, 3rd Jim Caudill Jr., 4th Ian Blanchard, 5th Ryan Doucette

Hard Chargers – Dave Bodio, Dante Curtis, Christian Pedersen (+12 Positions each)

Heat Winners – Nicolas Yaskiw, Tyler Price, Gareth Gonder, Camaron Hamilton, Ian Blanchard.
