Race1.us Dirt Night presented by JB Trucking – Street Stocks – Round 10 – Dec. 19, 2018 – Volusia Speedway Park
After competing at Volusia in the Fall Brawl just a few weeks ago, the Dirt Night series returned to the track once more last week for a 60 lap event.
Race Summary – After takin over the top spot early on, Jordan Erickson held a comfortable lead for the first 45 laps of the race. Behind him though, points leader Christian Pedersen was able to move into the 2nd position, and began chasing him down. Pedersen closed the gap to less a car length with just a handful of laps to go. Erickson rode the high side, and Pedersen peeked to the bottom a couple times including on the final lap, but despite a drag race to the line, Erickson held on by just .081 seconds to pick up back-to-back wins.

Top Five – 2nd Christian Pedersen, 3rd Kenneth Drake, 4th Rocky Battenfield, 5th David Duke
Hard Chargers – Russell Brown Jr. (+13 Positions, 19th to 6th)
Heat Winners – Joe Schaffer Jr., TJ White, Devon Morgan
Points Battle – With his 4th runner-up finish of the season, Christian Pedersen leaves Volusia with a 31 point lead in the standings, which is unofficially enough to clinch his first career SARA championship.
