Race1.us Dirt Night presented by JB Trucking – Street Stocks – Round 11 – Dec. 17, 2018 – Lanier National Speedway

The first season of fixed setup Dirt Street Stock racing here at SARA came to a close this past Monday night as the series wrapped things up with a 100 lap A-Main at Lanier.

Race Summary – In the opening laps, Alex Breuer made his way into the top spot and held onto it throughout the first 30+ laps. After a lap 34 restart, he began feeling the pressure however as Beau Brannon was making a charge, and he would use the inside groove to take over the top spot. Brannon looked to be on his way to a potential victory, but as the front pack worked through lapped traffic on lap 65, Brannon got tangled up with a lapped car which resulted in him facing the wrong direction as Christian Pedersen snuck by into the lead. Pedersen took full advantage and held off the field over the final 36 laps as he would go onto cap off his title season with a victory, his first SARA win since the fall of 2014.

Race Winner – Christian Pedersen – Started 7th, 36 laps led

Top Five – 2nd Alex Breuer, 3rd Jeremy Adams, 4th Conner Blaise, 5th Clay Snider

Hard Charger – Russell Berry (+14 Positions, 23rd to 9th)

Rookie of the Season – In Christian Pedersen’s first full SARA Dirt season with us, he recorded a total of 71 rookie points out of a possible 80, to earn the Rookie of the Season honors.
