The Pro Series East headed into New Smyrna for 75 laps of short track action on Monday night. Fresh off a race last week where Justin Brooks would dominate at Langley, he would pick right back up where he left.

Brooks would pick up the pole by 4 hundredths of a second over 2nd place Matt Rolfe. Brooks would take the lead on the green, but the field would see a few early cautions for cars spinning in the corners. The track seemed to be slick for most drivers with the high powered K&N cars.

After a caution on lap 20, the leaders would pit, leaving Derek Robinson to come out with the lead. He would lead 12 laps, before the next caution that came out when Brooks, Rolfe, and Sean Medling would all get together. Medling and Rolfe would spin, with the rest of the field stacking up behind them. Brooks would drive on, and regained the lead when Robinson would head back down pit road. From there on out it was Brooks that stayed in control of the race.

Behind him, drivers battled hard to pick up every position they could. One last restart would happen with just 2 laps to go, and Brooks jumped out to the lead, and picked up his 2nd straight Pro Series victory, and his 4th win in 4 starts in SARA competition. Rolfe would edge out Robinson for 2nd spot, Robinson would be 3rd, with Clay Snider and Medling rounding out the top 5.

Mike Belanger would take over the points lead with Scott Bolster missing the race, and he now leads over Rolfe by 20 points. Next week the series heads back to a road course when they visit VIR.
