We take a look back at Week #4 of the season for this week’s Power Rankings. We had 5 different winners in our 5 divisions this week, with 152 total car count for the races for an average of 30.4 cars per races, including each of our Championship Series divisions having at least 30 cars with the Super Late Models having the highest amount with 41 cars attempting to qualify. We are 1/3 of the way through the season already but have plenty of racing left to go, so let’s take a look at the top 10 in the Week 4 Power Rankings.

10. Ryan Borges – Last Week: NR
Ryan joined us this past week for the first time in the SK Shootout Series race at IRP, and he quietly worked his way into a 3rd place finish. Then he joined the Pro Late Model race and again finished in the 3rd spot. And in the Super Late Model race, he backed it up with a 4th place finish at Martinsville. That’s 3 quiet, but impressive top 4 finishes in his first 3 races this season in the Championship Series. We’ll look to see if he can keep up the pace.

9. Trey Jarrell – Last Week: NR
In week 3, Trey rejoined us by picking up the Super Late Model victory at USA, and this past week he kept up the momentum by finishing up in the runner-up spot for a 2nd place finish. We learned last season how good Trey can be, and in his two SLM races so far, he’s continued right where he left off and we don’t expect him to slow down much at all. We look for him to continue to rise in these rankings.

8. Mike Rhyno – Last Week: 4th (-4)
Going into last week, Mike had a great start to the season in the Legends division but didn’t quite have as good as a finish as he expected when he finished 14th this past week. He also ran in the SK Mods race and ended up in 24th. Despite the sub-par finishes for him, Mike continues to lead the Legends points standings and will look to rebound this week in the double header events at Lime Rock and Stafford.

7. Travis Warling – Last Week: 5th (-2)
Travis entered last week trailing Mike in the Legends points, but when Mike had trouble, Travis capitalized by taking home a 6th place finish at Irwindale. That finish shrunk the points lead back down to just 9 points. We head back to another road course this week and so far he’s finished 1st and 2nd in the two previous road courses, so we look for him to run well and continue to battle it out with Mike in the points.

6. Stan Bragg – Last Week: 10th (+4)
Stan had some decent finishes in the Legends, Street Stocks, and Pro Late Models this week with finishes of 12th, 9th, and 15th respectively. But the big highlight of the week was his first career SARA win in his 50th career start, in the SK Modified feature at Irwindale. He’s been close to picking up wins before, but he dominated that race for his first victory. We look for Stan to keep running well and pick up some more wins now that he has one.

5. Dale Owen – Last Week: 6th (+1)
Dale started off the week really well on Monday when he picked up a 2nd and a 4th place finishes in the Legends and SK Mod races. Then in the rest of the week he ended up with a 16th, 11th and a 15th in the other three races. But he has been running up front and has had some strong runs, so he’ll look to rebound a little bit and pick up some more top 10’s and top 5’s.

4. Cody Kelley – Last Week: 7th (+3)
Cody has been pretty impressive since joining us this season, and this past week it continued when he picked up a 5th in the Street Stock race, and a 5th in the Super Late Model race. He also picked up his first career SARA victory in the Pro Late Model race at New Smyrna. So far in 7 races with us, he’s only finished outside the top 5 once. We look for him to continue running up front and battling for wins each week.

3. Bill Martin – Last Week: 3rd (+0)
Bill Stays in the 3rd spot this week, and his two Acceleration Series races helped him with that when he picked up a 3rd in the Legends race and a 2nd in the Street Stocks. The Championship Series divisions weren’t quite as nice to him though, with finishes of 20th and 24th in the SK Mods and Pro Late Models.

2. Parker Traves – Last Week: 2nd (+0)
Parker comes in at number 2 again this week after having a strong week 3 of this season. This past week didn’t go quite as well with the finishes but he did run well. In the Legends race he led a majority of it, but ended up spinning dropping him back to a 20th place finish. And in the Street Stocks he ran near the front and wound up finishing 7th. He’s shown plenty of speed so far this season, but will need to maintain it to stay up in these rankings.

1. Justin Brooks – Last Week: 1st (+0)
Well it’s another week, and another Justin Brooks win in the record books. He was forced to start at the back of the Street Stock race after winning the previous two, and he worked up all the way into a 3rd place finish. And then in the Super Late Models he finally got to the front of the field and never looked back, taking his 24th career SARA win, which extends his lead in that category. Just like we mentioned last week, as long as he keeps running up front, he should stay up front in the Power Rankings too.

Dropped Out: James Linkiewicz, Kenny Lindsley
New This Week: Trey Jarrell, Ryan Borges
