The PSN Pro Series East division took the track at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, with the Championship on the line. Mike Belanger would enter the event just 5 points ahead of Clay Snider, and the two would battle it out down to the final laps to determine the champion.

Justin Brooks would pick up the pole, being the only driver to break under the 30 second lap time, while Matt Rolfe started in 2nd. The first yellow flag would fly on lap 4, and all the leaders would duck down onto pit road, as tires would be extremely valuable.

Mike Belanger would stay out though to pick up the bonus point. The caution would fly a total of 5 times on the night, which lead to a total of 6 different leaders, but each time, Brooks would have no troubles navigating back through the traffic to get back to the lead.

As Brooks checked out, the battle would be on between Belanger and Snider. Snider would come into the night having to beat Belanger by 6 points to take over the championship. But Belanger would run near the front all night as well. At the end of the night’s longest run, Belanger would find trouble though as he lost control of his car and the caution would come out. But he was able to keep the car clean, and continue on.

On the races final restart with about 20 laps to go, Snider would restart 2nd while Belanger restarted 3rd. Snider would get loose on the new tires however and would fall back, leaving the door open for the 2nd spot to Belanger, who would capitalize and hang onto the spot.

Brooks would go on to the dominating victory, his 4th win in the series.

Behind him though, it would be Mike Belanger finishing in 2nd place, earning him the 2014 Season 1 – PSN Pro Series East Championship.

Snider would run strong in 3rd, while Charles Denny would finish 4th, while Jarrett Lawrence slipped to 5th after battling Belanger on the final lap.

Mike Belanger’s championship run would include 1 win, 9 top 5’s, 10 top 10’s, and 156 laps led (2nd most).
