The MRolfeDesigns Pro Late Model Series capped off SARA Speedweek Presented by the TC-R1 Pro Sim Chassis and Fast Track Sims, with their season finale at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway for 75 laps. Clay Snider would enter the event up by 12 points in the standings, but with him missing the race tonight, it would give Matt Rolfe the opportunity to grab the championship from him with a decent finish.

Justin Brooks picked up the pole for the race, while Rolfe started 2nd giving him 4 bonus points towards his run. When the green flag dropped, Brooks would pull out to the lead, while James Poleske followed him into 2nd while Rolfe settled into 3rd.

Behind the top 3, drivers would look to sort things out, but with a few incidents in the early laps, it appeared as if the yellow flags were turned off for the session. This would allow the top 3 to pull away from the field some.

On lap 22, Brooks would surrender the lead to Poleske for 15 laps, before grabbing the lead back from him on lap 38. Poleske and Rolfe would battle it out for a number of laps before Rolfe would get loose and spin in turn 2. But because of the gap he had from the field, he would only lose one position as he recovered to settle into 4th.

Brooks would go on to lead the rest of the event, and would take the checkered flag to finish off the season with 6 consecutive wins. Poleske would hang onto 2nd, Jacob Linkiewicz would grab 3rd. Rolfe would finish 4th, while James Linkiewicz worked his way from 11th up to the top 5.

With Rolfe’s 4th place finish, he was able to get the points needed to take over the points lead, earning him the 2014 Season 1 – MRolfeDesigns Pro Late Model Series Championship, his first career SARA championship.

Rolfe’s championship run consisted of 2 poles, 1 win, 7 top 5’s, 9 top 10’s, and 157 laps led (2nd most).
