We take a look back at Week #3 of the season for this week’s Power Rankings. We had 5 different races in 4 of our divisions, with 5 different winners in those races. 140 total drivers showed up for the races for an average of 28 cars per races, including 39 and 40 cars showing up for the Pro Late Model and Super Late Model races. With another big week of races coming up, let’s take a look at the top 10 in the Week 3 Power Rankings.

10. Stan Bragg – Last Week: NR
Stan cracks his way into the Power Rankings with a couple of decent races last week. He ended up with a 6th place finish at the Legends race on the Charlotte Legends Oval, and an 8th place finish in the Street Stock race at The Rock. Then in the Pro Late Model race he started on the front row and led the first 20 laps of the race before getting caught up in a late wreck. Stan will look to kick it up a notch this week to increase in the rankings.

9. Kenny Lindsley – Last Week: NR
Kenny dropped out of the rankings last week, but he climbs back into them this week with a couple of top 10 finishes. He started off with a 5th place finish in the SS race at Rockingham, and then ended up with a 10th place finish in the Pro Late Model race at Irwindale after a strong run. Kenny has the speed to run up front and will look to stay up there to stay in the rankings.

8. James Linkiewicz – Last Week: 6th (-2)
James didn’t start off the week quite how he had hoped with a 16th in the SS race, but he got better through the week with a 13th in the PLM race and ending the week off with a 7th in the Super Late Model race at USA. James has fallen a little in the Power Rankings, but we’ll look for him to rebound this week with some strong runs.

7. Cody Kelley – Last Week: 9th (+2)
Cody had another strong run last week in the Super Late Model race at USA, coming out with a 3rd place finish. In 4 races with us so far, he’s finished 2nd or 3rd in 3 of them. In the PLM race this week, he had a fast car but wrecked out early. But if he continues to run up front, a win could come very soon and he could climb these rankings even more.

6. Dale Owen – Last Week: 8th (+2)
Dale had a good week overall last week picking up 4 top 10’s in the 5 races he ran in, including a 10th, a 3rd, a 6th and a 9th. He did have one bad finish in the Super Late Model race, but if he can continue to run up front each week in each division, he continue to rise in these rankings.

5. Travis Warling – Last Week: 2nd (-3)
Travis went into last week as the Legends points leader, but had a rough first race with just a 20th place finish. But he did turn it around when he had a strong 2nd place run on the Charlotte Infield road course. He did drop in the standings to 2nd, but if he continues to run up front, he should stay in contention for the Legends title.

4. Mike Rhyno – Last Week: 4th (+0)
Mike put in two strong races this week in the Legends division when he picked up a 2nd and a 3rd place finish in the double header, and with that he takes over the Legends points standings by 25 points. With 5 solid runs to start the season, Mike is off to a good start and as long as he continues to run that way, he should be there at the end fighting for the title as well.

3. Bill Martin – Last Week: 3rd (+0)
Bill stays near the top of these rankings with a couple of good finishes last week, he finished 7th and 8th in the Legends races. But he topped it off with a victory in the Pro Late Model race. That’s two PLM races in the books, and two wins for Bill in the series, and a strong points lead already. We’ll look to see if Bill can keep up the strong performances this week.

2. Parker Traves – Last Week: 7th (+5)
Parker finished in the top 5 last week, four times in the four races he entered. He started it all off with a win in the Legends race at the Charlotte Legends Oval, and then never let off the gas picking up other finishes of 4th, 3rd, and 5th. A strong week climbs Parker up to the #2 spot in the rankings, and we’ll look to see if he can keep up the pace this week.

1. Justin Brooks – Last Week: 1st (+0)
Another week and another win for Justin, this time in the Street Stock race for the 2nd race in a row, and his 3rd race of the season. He also finished 3rd in the PLM race and 4th in the SLM race. Another strong week for Justin keeps him at the top of the rankings, and as long as he keeps running up front, he should stay up front in the Power Rankings too.

Dropped Out: Kevin Myers, Josh Kotten
New This Week: Stan Bragg, Kenny Lindsley
