On Thursday night, the RB Performance Super Late Model Series rolled into Lakeland, FL and the USA International Speedway for a 100-lap event in Week 11 of the season.
Bill Martin put his machine on the pole for the event and took off, leading the first 51 laps of the race. But in the process of a 66 lap green flag run, his tires would fall off which allowed Ty Spearman to take over the top spot. As the run continued however, it was the points leader, Cody Kelley, who was staying close behind, and on lap 73 he made his move to the front and would take the lead, and led the final 28 laps to pick up his 5th SLM win of the season and his 17th career SARA victory. Derek Robinson, David Krikorian, Colin Allman, and Martin rounded out the top five.
Cody Kelley leads the points standings by 91 points heading into the final race of the season as he looks to take home one of three titles during SoBo Championship Week.
