125 Lap Feature
Last Tuesday night, the Late Models battled at Lanier for their season finale with a 125 lap feature event.
Entering the night, Ryan Kuhn led the points standings by just 7 points over Parker Traves. Early in the race, Traves gained the advantage as he quickly worked his way forward, while Kuhn was stuck battling in and out of the top five.
Traves took over the lead on lap 49 and looked to run away, but Kuhn was working his way forward, and then started putting the pressure on for the top spot over the next 50 laps.
On lap 94, Kuhn made his move into the lead, and then set sail out front as he went on to pull away by nearly 5 seconds over the final 30 laps for the victory, which also secured him the championship.
