Callaway Investments Modified Series – Tour Modifieds – Round 3 – Oct. 2, 2018 – South Boston Speedway
Last Tuesday night, the Modified Series took on the South Boston Speedway for 125 laps for the 3rd race of the season.
Race Summary – Early on Trevor Edwards held the lead until Ty Majeski made his way forward and he would take the lead over on lap 38. Majeski looked to be on his way to yet another win, but pulled off early handing the lead back over to Edwards on lap 63. That left Edwards and Colin Allman to battle up front, but they would tangle about 20 laps later, allowing Conner Blaise to sneak by on the bottom to take over and Blaise would hold off the field during the final 40 laps to take the victory.
Race Winner – Conner Blaise – Qualified 3rd, started 5th (7-car invert), 40 laps led
Top Five – 2nd Trevor Edwards, 3rd Ryan Doucette, 4th Adam Josselyn, 5th Kyle Odaynik
Hard Charger – Nicholas Johnston (+14 positions)
Pole Winner – Ty Majeski – 13.025 seconds – new track record
