Callaway Investments Modified Series – Tour Modifieds – Round 10 – December 11, 2018 – Stafford Speedway
Last Tuesday night the Modified Series traveled up to Modified country at Stafford for a 100 lap feature event.
Race Summary – Dave Bodio took over the race lead on lap 6 and he would look to run and hide out front as it would only be a matter of time for Ty Majeski to charge his way forward. Majeski, who is undefeated in his SARA career at Stafford, moved up to second by lap 18, and just a couple laps later he made his move into the lead and enjoyed a comfy lead during a long green flag run. In the late stages of the race Bodio, and Conner Blaise, were able to keep pace after a couple quick restarts, but it wasn’t enough as Majeski would go on to pick up his 81st career SARA win, and his 11th win and 11 starts at Stafford.
Race Winner – Ty Majeski – Started 6th (6-car invert), 79 laps led
Top Five – 2nd Conner Blaise, 3rd Joe Schaffer Jr., 4th Ryan Blanchard, 5th Matt Rolfe
Hard Charger – Kyle Odaynik (+4 positions, 11th to 7th)
Pole Winner – Ty Majeski – 17.002 seconds – new track record
Points Battle – Conner Blaise racked up his 6th podium finish of the season and leaves Stafford with a 68 point lead in the standings, which is enough to unofficially clinch the Modified Series championship with one race to go.
