Callaway Investments Modified Series – Tour Modifieds – Round 4 – Oct. 9, 2018 – Martinsville Speedway

Race Summary – After some early pace car issues, Keith Jeffery led the field back to green on lap 15, but slipped up in turn two allowing Matt Rolfe to grab the lead. Rolfe would lead the next 36 laps, before Ty Spearman made a charge and took over. Spearman looked to be well on his way to victory, but in the late stages he faced some pressure from Royce Scrivano and Conner Blaise, and Blaise was the one who gave it one last shot as he pulled up beside Spearman in the final corner, but it wasn’t enough. Spearman would hold on for the victory, the 28th of his SARA career.

Race Winner – Ty Spearman – Qualified 7th, started 3rd (9-car invert), 48 laps led

Top Five – 2nd Conner Blaise, 3rd Royce Scrivano, 4th Ryan Doucette, 5th Trevor Edwards

Hard Charger – Mason Dunn (+11 positions)

Pole Winner – Conner Blaise – 17.988 seconds – new track record

Points Battle – Leaving Martinsville, Kyle Odaynik held just a one point lead over Edwards and Doucette, but things were shaken up after last night’s race at The Bullring.
