The MRD Pro Late Model Series made the trip up to Oxford as well last night as they followed up the SLM series with their own 150 lap feature. The cold weather in Maine couldn’t slow down the hot streak that Justin Brooks is on however.

Brooks picked up the pole and looked to grab the early lead, but a caution on the first lap slowed things down for the only yellow flag on the night. James Linkiewizc started in the second spot, but found himself three wide as he slid up the track in turn 1, leaving room for Anthony Celentano and Matt Rolfe to go under him. This led to them all going into turn 3, still three wide and contact between Rolfe and Linkiewizc would see both of them spin in front of the field.

On the following restart, another incident would happen but this time the field would stay green, and Brooks would set sail from there. Behind Brooks, Celentano had settled into second before his engine would expire on lap 77, which would leave Jacob Linkiewizc and Matthew Eddy to battle it out for the second spot.

But no one would have anything for Brooks, and as the field stayed green for the final 145 laps, He would go on to lap the field and go on for the uncontested win, his third straight in the PLM series. Jacob L would beat out Eddy for 2nd, with Scott Bell and Jason Garrett rounding out the top 5.

Clay Snider would run top 5 all night before mechanical issues late in the race would drop him back to 6th. His point lead over Matt Rolfe, who was unable to finish the race due to damage, would grow to 31 points with just 3 races left.

Next week the series heads to the USA Speedway for 100 laps of action. For last night’s full results and standings, click HERE.
