Last Thursday night, the TUNDRA Super Sim Series presented by LOKOTOCO Designs also ran their first Triple Crown event of the season, with the running of the Our Insurance Options 150 at Myrtle Beach. The 4th race of the season saw 39 cars attempt to qualify for just 30 starting spots on the grid.

Race Winner – Colin Allman got out front early, and led 130 laps to pick up his 3rd career SARA victory.

Race Summary – The 8-car invert dropped pole sitter Tim Bills back in the field, while Zack Novak led the field to the green flag. Novak lead the opening 20 laps of the race until Colin Alman charged up from his 6th starting spot and took the lead by lap 21. A number of cautions throughout the second half of the race would help Allman get the advantage off of the restarts, and was able to hold off charges from Joe Schaffer Jr., Bills, and Adam Benefiel late in the race and he would go on to pick up the victory.

Pole Award – Tim Bills would beat his own track record, with a lap of 17.525 seconds for his 44th career SARA pole.

Hard Charger – Matt Rolfe started back in 21st, while Michael Goddard used a provision to start 28th, and both drivers would gain 13 spots in the race.

Rookie of the Race – Ryan Matthews picked up Rookie of the Race honors again with a 6th place finish. Zack Novak leads the Rookie standings.

Triple Crown – Colin Allman’s win puts him at the top of the Triple Crown standings, and will look to hold onto that in a couple weeks for the next Triple Crown event.

Title Fight – Another top five for Jimmy Mullis extends his points lead out to 22 points over Novak after four races.

Up Next – The TUNDRA Super Sim Series presented by LOKOTOCO Designs will head north to the Oxford Plains Speedway for the HidesPride.com 150.
