Dreamer Racing Super Series – Super Late Models – Round 5 – March 21, 2019 – Irwindale Speedway Inner
Last week the Super Series rolled into Irwindale to take on the 1/3-mile Inner bullring for a 150 lap race in the Splash N Go Graphics 150.
Race Summary – In the opening laps of the race, Christian Challiner was able to work his way under Justin LaDuke out front to take over on lap 14. After two cautions, the final restart set up a 100+ lap green flag run to the finish, with Challiner getting the advantage and the rest of the top four cars would break away from the pack. It wasn’t until the final 50 laps of the race where Devon Morgan worked his way up into 2nd, and began cutting into the lead out front. But with the laps ticking off quickly at the small Inner layout, Morgan would run out of time. Challiner was able to keep his advantage up over .5 seconds during the final handful of laps, and would take home the checkers to earn his 2nd victory of the season.

Points Battle – The points leader entering the night, Samuel Roush, had engine troubles, while Ryan Matthews’ top five run moves him up to the top of the standings with a slim 1 point lead over Christian Challiner heading into Milwaukee.
HidesPride Head2Head Throwdown – Row 6 on the grid was selected at random for drivers to compete head-to-head, with Chris Canfield (8th) finishing ahead of Michael Goddard (19th) to win the Throwdown.
