The RB Performance Super Late Model Series visited Lanier on Thursday night for a 150-lap event and the 8th race of their Summer Season.

22 cars hit the track in time trials, and it was Justin Brooks that picked up the pole by just .002 seconds over 2nd place. Brooks led the top 8 cars into the Qualifying Dash, where he went on to pick up the Dash win. The front of the field would see a 6 car invert, dropping Brooks back to 6th for the feature race, which moved Ty Spearman to the front.

Spearman brought the field around for the green flag an quickly pulled into the lead. The first restart of the race came on lap 14, and from there the field set off on a 97-lap green flag run throughout the middle of the race. Spearman continued to lead until lap 36 when James Linkiewicz took over the top spot. That lead was short lived however as Cody Kelley was making his charge to the front on the long green flag run and made his move under Linkiewicz. The two would battle side-by-side until Linkiewicz got loose in the outside groove, allowing Kelley to take over. And it was a lead that Kelley never gave up as he went on to lead the final 105 laps on his way to his 2nd victory of the season, and his 23rd career SARA win.

Linkiewicz was able to recover to finish in the runner-up spot after he got tangled with a lap car late in the race, but made his way back up to a 2nd place finish. Ty Spearman ran in the top three all race long and settled into a 3rd place finish at the end of the night. David Krikorian started outside the top ten and ran just outside the top five for much of the race but used some late race cautions to move into a 4th place finish. Joe Schaffer Jr. rounded out the top five after an early race spin, before recovering up to a 5th place finish.

Just outside the top five, Matt Rolfe would finish in the 6th spot after running in the top five for most of the race, and getting shuffled outside of the top ten  during the late restarts. Scott Dunlap started back in the 18th spot and slowly worked his way to the front as he would move into the top ten in the late stages and picked up a 7th place finish. Dale Owen ran just outside the top five early, faded back during the middle portion of the race, but worked his way back up to finish 8th. Windell Stratton, fresh off his PLM win, started further back and worked his way into the top five late, before one slip up on a restart dropped him back, but he would hang onto finish 9th, just ahead of Russell Berry who started last on the field but slowly worked his way up into a top then finish, and gaining the most spots on the night.

With the victory, and with drop races being factored into the points, Cody Kelley takes over the top spot in the standings and leads by 20 points over 2nd place.
