Mullis Makes It Back-To-Back Langley Wins

Sim Marketing Solutions Super Series – Super Late Models – Round 4 – October 11, 2018 – Langley Speedway

Last Thursday night, some of iRacing’s best short trackers took on the tough Langley Speedway for 150 laps in the Russell Brown Race Cars 150.

Race Summary – Justin Trombley was inverted to the front and jumped out into the early lead after the drop of the green flag, but he wasn’t able to pull away. Most of the first half of the race he held off Ryan Matthews, and then by lap 81 it was Jimmy Mullis that moved up to the runner-up position. Mullis also rode within a couple car lengths of Trombley, and finally made his move on lap 117. Trombley hung tough on the outside, but Mullis finally secured the spot and held on to pick up his 8th career SARA win.

Race Winner – Jimmy Mullis – Qualified 2nd (8 car invert), 34 laps led

Top Five – 2nd Jim Caudill Jr., 3rd David Krikorian, 4th Zack Novak, 5th Ryan Matthews

Pole Winner – Jim Caudill Jr. (13.232 seconds) – 5th career SARA pole.

Hard Charger – Logan Clampitt (+14 positions, 22nd to 8th)

Points Battle – With the win, Mullis extends his points lead up to 29 points heading into next week’s race at Richmond.

HidesPride Head2Head Throwdown – Row 7 on the grid was selected at random for drivers to compete head-to-head, with Ty Spearman (18th) finishing ahead of Kyle Souza (21st) to win the Throwdown.
