The GM Parts XPerts Super Late Model Series looked to take on the Richmond International Raceway on Thursday night for their season opener in the 2016 Summer Season.
Just two laps after taking the green flag for the feature event a caution flag flew for a minor incident. However under the caution period, the iRacing server experienced some issues much like it had done all week during previous events, dropping most of the field out of the race session.
League officials have decided to call the event a “washout”, and will reschedule the race to be run on Thursday, August 11th (originally scheduled as an off-week). The entire event will start from scratch on that date, requiring all drivers to re-qualify and the race will be run as the original scheduled distance of 116 laps.
