Bodio Capitalizes On Robinson’s Mistake For Eldora Win

On Tuesday night, the Sprint Series took on the Eldora Speedway once again for a 40-lap feature event.

Race Winner – Derek Robinson started up front after the Pole Shuffle and led some of the early stages of the race. But a mistake on lap 17 by Robinson as he got up into the wall a little, allowed Dave Bodio to dive down to the bottom of the corner and he would take the lead away. Bodio looked to have things locked up until a late caution set up a 1-lap shootout, and he was able to hold off the field on the final lap to take his first dirt victory, and his 3rd career SARA win.

Heat Winners – Dante Curtis and Kenneth Drake both started 2nd in their Heat Races, but were each able to move up to take the Heat Race wins.

Hard Charger – Clay Snider started 10th on the night and moved up to finish in the top five, while Russell Berry started outside the top ten and finished 8th, as both drivers would gain 5 spots to be the hard chargers.

Title Fight – Kenneth Drake had a tough night after getting up into the wall, but he’s able to maintain his points lead by just two points over David Krikorian who gained ground by finishing 2nd.

Up Next – Next week the series will make their second trip to USA in addition to the Winged Sprints for their Triple Crown series.
