Dirt Night – UMP Modifieds – Race 1 – May 14, 2018 – Eldora Speedway
The 2018 Summer Season got underway on Monday night with the first event of Dirt Night, and it was the UMP Modifieds first up to hit the track at the Eldora Speedway for a 65-lap feature event.
Race Summary – Tyler Hudson and Josh Kotten worked their way by Joe Schaffer Jr. to move up into the top two positions late in the race, and began trading the lead and trading sliders back and forth, but it was Hudson that would land the final blow with 8 laps remaining and held off Kotten in the final laps to pick up the opening night victory, and his 6th career SARA win.
Race Winner – Tyler Hudson – Started 7th, 18 laps led
Top Five – 2nd Josh Kotten, 3rd Jarrid Boiros, 4th Derek Robinson, 5th David Krikorian
Hard Charger – Russell Berry (+10 Positions, 17th to 7th)
Heat Winners – Tyler Hudson, Joe Schaffer Jr.
Up Next – Next Monday night on Dirt Night, the Midgets take over for their own feature at Eldora for 35 laps.
